How It Started
VanLab was founded when we tried to build our own campervan. Custom was too expensive and pre-used was too unreliable. So, we made one. By hand, from scratch. And it took months. We required specialized tools, specialized knowledge, space and time. There must be a better way and we saw an opportunity: Use high-precision 3-dimensional design and smart manufacturing to make vanlife simpler, faster, and more affordable — without compromising quality.
Fortunately, our Co-Founder comes from the Automotive Industry (working at McLaren Automotive) and Aeronautical Industry (PhD. with BAE Systems). We set about designing a solution to our problem, and the result is VanLab: a smarter way to build your dream van, with kits that blend aerospace-level precision with real-world practicality.

Following Poka Yoke principles, we design our kits for mistake proof assembly. The panels are custom designed to fit precisely like a jigsaw within the framework so you can slot them into your van with ease. The step-by-step kit fitting manual is fast and easy to build even for novices.
Everything Provided:
Instructions, wood panels, hinges, screws, door magnets and hatches are provided with the kit. You just need a screwdriver, leaving you time to focus on the fun customizations!
