Introducing our kit for the Chevy Express / GMC Savana vans! It has been designed to maximize the use of one of the smaller spaces, whilst maintaining a large comfy bed with a generously sized kitchen. This kit for the 135” wheelbase allows you to eat, sleep and work (if you have to!) in the comfort of your van without needing to go for a larger van.

The bed sits at a comfy 71” long x 58” wide sleeping across the van (from East to West) whilst maintaining a roomy kitchen and living area.

The kit is again designed to be compatible with ALL roof sizes in mind. If you have a High roof added the kit works just as well, with all kitchen surface heights designed to be compatible.

The kit is fully removable and has nothing permanently fixed to the interior, meaning that you can change your vehicle at any time and just remove and transfer your kit with you.

We have kits for both the CARGO van and the PASSENGER van. These vehicles are the same van, however the passenger has additional legacy interior plastic trims. Our PASSENGER kits have been cut around these trim parts, while the CARGO kit is designed for a panel van. It is important to note this with your order.

Our kits are designed for quick assembly and engineered for DIY installation, so you can get going in no time! What’s our secret? We use 3D vehicle laser scans for every vehicle we work on, and the best 3D parametric design software on the market. Our lead engineers learned these skills while working at the peak of the automotive and aeronautical industries; one from McLaren designing supercars and one from Sikorsky designing helicopters.

We follow Poka-Yoke principles (mistake-proof design), inspired by the precision of automotive production lines. Just like a square peg in a square hole, every part is clearly labeled and engineered to fit perfectly in its designated spot. ELECTRICS (OPTIONAL)

The VanLab Integrated Wiring Loom (Wiring Harness) is everything you need to automatically charge your leisure battery (charge-while-you-drive) and power your fridge, water pump, roof air fan, charge your phone and monitor your battery health.

Our integrated wiring loom is compatible with pre-cut holes in our cabinetry kits. The wiring loom is compatible with lead acid & lithium ion batteries (DC/DC charger needed). It is compatible with external power packs and solar charging (DC/DC charger needed).

The wiring loom includes

Power supply to fridge, water pump and roof air fan
2 x Double USB Chargers (USB and USB C)
Leisure Battery and Start Battery Voltage readouts
All switches, fuses, fuse board and circuit breakers for protection
Large battery isolator switch
Voltage Sensitive Relay (VSR) for automatic charge-while-you-drive
All wires are labelled and factory fitted with the required connectors.

FAQs

Are the Chevy Express and GMC Savana the same van?

Yes—both the Chevy Express 135” and GMC Savana 135” share the exact same platform, dimensions, and interior layout. That means our kit fits both vans identically, with the only differences being branding and trim levels.

What’s the difference between the Cargo and Passenger versions?

Great question—and an important one. The Passenger version (often an ex-minibus) comes with factory interior trims, windows, and a finished roof lining. Our kit is specifically cut to fit around these features, giving you 360° views, better natural ventilation, and no need to install wall panels.
The Cargo version, on the other hand, is a bare metal panel van. This gives you slightly more usable interior space and flexibility, but you’ll typically need to insulate, panel, and add windows yourself if desired. It really comes down to whether you prefer a ready-to-use interior (Passenger) or a blank canvas (Cargo).

What’s the difference between the 135” and 155” versions?

The Chevy Express 135” / GMC Savana 135” offers a more compact footprint, making it easier to drive and park while still delivering a full camper setup. Compared to the longer 155”, the bed is slightly shorter (71" vs 73") and the garage space is a bit smaller (approx. 45ft³ vs 50ft³). The 155” gives you more room overall, while the 135” keeps things tighter and more maneuverable.
