The Ram Promaster 159" boasts the widest body in its class, offering ample space for comfortable sleeping arrangements, expansive kitchen setups, and generous storage options; an ideal candidate for a VanLab conversion kit.
Our Promaster conversion kit is engineered to maximize functionality and comfort, catering to the needs of travelers seeking adventure without compromising on convenience. Our kit is crafted with the aim for 2 people to comfortably travel, work, eat and sleep. Flexibility in layout is provided by our innovative French-Cleat rail system, allowing the table to be re-purposed in four different areas around the van (kitchen benchtop, living space desk, bedside table and outside table).
N/S Bed Layout
Utilizing the Promaster 159” interior space, we combine a three cabinet kitchen area with the large North/South Bed. Our kit includes a North/South raised bed configuration (74" Long x 72" Wide) situated atop a massive 100ft³ garage section. The tall garage section has been designed specifically for adventure gear, with a large central area that easily stores mountain bikes (upright & front wheel removed). On each side, we feature 12 storage lockers for all your gear and a tunnel through to the front living section for storage of longer items (such as surfboards and camping awnings) with accessibility from both sides.
E/W Bed Layout
By utilizing the E/W bed, we have been able to stretch the kitchen to 5.5ft long and maximize storage with 4 cabinets. This is the largest kitchen available in any VanLab design. The kitchen area features a fridge compartment behind the driver's seat, a water storage and sink locker in the middle, and two cabinets for kitchen items and food storage; a total storage of 29ft3.
The East/West raised bed configuration (72" Long x 58" Wide) situated atop a garage section. The garage height is identical to the N/S layout, so perfectly sized for adventure gear and bikes.
Our kits are designed for quick assembly and engineered for DIY installation, so you can get going in no time! What’s our secret? We use 3D vehicle laser scans for every vehicle we work on, and the best 3D parametric design software on the market. Our lead engineers learned these skills while working at the peak of the automotive and aeronautical industries; one from McLaren designing supercars and one from Sikorsky designing helicopters.
We follow Poka-Yoke principles (mistake-proof design), inspired by the precision of automotive production lines. Just like a square peg in a square hole, every part is clearly labeled and engineered to fit perfectly in its designated spot.
